Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Upgrades Rennsport Kansas City

Have this nice Pepper in the shop this week for some big hp upgrades 😀 Why shouldn’t you have an SUV with over 600hp? Should make a nice grocery getter.

A fun pile of parts. On the list: Fabspeed secondary cat bypass pipes. Fabspeed Maxflo muffler system. IPD intake plenum. Evolution Motorsports cold air intake system. Evolution Motorsports diverter valves. Evolution Motorsports ECU Tune.

First up was the plenum. Off comes all the engine bay trim.

OEM intake plenum.

And the new smoother flowing IPD.

Then it was off with the air intake boxes. Driver side is fairly easy, but the passenger side is a little tighter fit to get the huge box out.

Mmmm much better. We actually designed these on Stephen’s old Touareg back in the day at Imagine Auto for EvoMS.

More airflow = more power.

Since we have more air coming into the intake, we have to get the air out easier. More air in, more air out = hp. First thing to do is to get rid of the restrictive secondary cats and replace with bypass pipes.

Then I am going to pull this monstrosity of a muffler. My lord is it heavy.

For Mark Harris…..my missing tool set 😉 The top nuts on the cats are a real bear to get to, best way is with a half moon wrench.

And the ginormous exhaust off the Pepper.

With all that junk out of the way, you can actually see the bottom of the vehicle.

And the secondary cat bypass pipes installed. O2 sensor functionality is kept as they operate off the primary cats further upstream.

New muffler system in place. Mmmmm this is going to sound good.

And the junction pipe back on the car connecting the front and rear. This long section of pipe is cut off the old muffler and reused. The ECU has been sent out for flashing, but with Fedex having some flight issues due to Sandy, it might be a few days before I can fire it up. I’ll post the diverter valve install as well once I tackle that project.

Did you finally break down and add some half moon’s to that enormous Snap On 300+ drawer ship anchor you call a tool box.

Yes, but then I tried to find a spot for them and realized I am running out of space!
