It was a nice feeling to get go through this and fix the “things” that have happened since I last saw it. Old O2 sensor unscrewed. Yuck. Now to get to the electrical connector. Had a freind bring by his 996TT that was having some odd boost and running issues. Erratic boost now and again, and then the CEL came on. CEL was due to the MAF sensor, which I replaced and took out for a test run. A lot of times erratic boost levels are due to bad MAF sensors. Unfortunately, we had two issues here. Had a boxster S come through today that was in need of new brake pads, and had a CEL on.  Both quick fixes, got new pads swapped in, and tried cleaning the MAF sensor first.  If it pops up again, then we will have to drop the $300 for a new sensor, but a lot of times they just get dirty and a cleaning will do.
