Porsche 964 C2 For Sale 18k Miles. $37k

SOLD!

Have a customer selling his 964 C2 as he does not drive it anymore. Build date is 09/92. Just over 18k miles. Yes, you read that right. White on Tan interior. Car still has that new car smell in the interior.

Car is stored nearby our shop, so we can show the car pretty much any time.

I just had the motor out for the customer to repair a leaking fuel pressure regulator that caused the engine to backfire on startup and blow off the intake plenum. Subsequent small fire from the backfire in the intake manifold, which resulted in 2 replacement intake plenums and the center plenum needing to be replaced due to heat warpage where the rubber couplers attached. Was extinguished within seconds according to the owner, and I would back that up from what I saw. While the motor was out, I did all the “while you are in there’s” USAA footed the bill and agreed to all repairs, thus it may show up on carfax as a claim. While the plenums were the only thing damaged, we replaced the following to be on the safe side:

I replaced anything that even looked like it had damage from the heat and USAA agreed. Spark plug wires (one wire had very slight softening of a small part of the wire from the head) and fuel lines looked ok, but we did not want to take any chances on such a low mileage car.
Fuel Pressure regulator (obviously as this was the point of failure, causing fuel to enter the intake through the vacuum line)
Vacuum lines
Engine fuel lines
Thermostat/breather plate housing seals
All plenum rubber/intake rubber
Spark plugs
Ignition wires
Throttle body microswitches
Clutch slave cylinder

He does not drive the car at all, so this was the first time I have serviced the vehicle.

While the repair could have been done motor in the car, it was much easier to just drop it out on a table and do the repairs with full easy access.
