After we got the 993 exhaust on, it was time to get the GT3 taken care of. We needed a little better sound on full throttle, so a little extra airflow through the engine usually helps do that. Since the lifts are still full, back to my roots. Intake box has to go. Poof. And since my attention span is only so long, I decided to pull the mufflers next. The exhaust system is modular, so we can tune it …

Our web and marketing expert keeps telling me I have to be more “search orientated correct” in my blog title posts. In fact, I was told this as he held a nice big burger from Paul’s drive in under my nose. Everyone around here seems to think I am motivated by food for some reason (Send all Ho-ho’s, french fries, and donuts to the shop to my attention…I don’t eat foods that begin with the letter M (namely the big …

Installed a bunch of upgrades on this 2010 Turbo S this week. mmmm shiny. Fabspeed X-pipe exhaust, headers, and intake. First thing we needed to get rid of though was the K40 Calibre laser shifter system. And install something that actually works 🙂 Funky angle, but the heads are mounted in the front grill. Important to get them level and even with each other. ECU was reflashed to EVOMS software for a nice bump in hp and tq. The old …

Project 964 C4

Now that we have ironed out all the previous owner issues with the silver fox, it is time to start modifying this puppy 🙂 First things up are a lot better exhaust note along with some additional horsepower. First things first. Getting a decent throaty exhaust like a sports car should have. A Catbypass pipe and secondary muffler bypass….ohhh yea. Pulling the old exhaust tip off, it is pretty rusty and ugly. Since we have to reuse this, off to …

VRRROOOOOOMMM!! Goodbye secondary muffler, hello bypass pipe.

964 Cab Continued

Slowly plodding along with our 964 project as we have time. We are waiting on one of the gauges to come back from NHS. The face was de-laminating over the warning lights, so we sent it out to be replaced. A little ridiculous that they wouldn’t sell us a new face, as the install is no different that replacing the odometer gears (different gauge). Oh well. So….we are putting on a cup bypass pipe, so I dropped the secondary muffler …

Glad to have the EVT750 car back in my grasps 🙂 Angel came by today so we could pull the Fabspeed mufflers off to listen how the car would sound with straight pipes…..and we liked it. We will get the muffler bypass pipes ordered and slapped on this puppy 😀 With the Fabspeed (we are also an authorized dealer/installer), the system is modular, so you can swap sections out to fit your needs. Ohhhh yeah. Up on the lift ready …

More 951 Progress

Got back to the 951 after the holidays to finish up some items. I started by tearing apart the exhaust to upgrade to a Fabspeed 3″ full system, and Tial 38mm wastegate. When I crawled under the car, I realized the car, being an early 86 model, had the 1 piece crossover pipe….DOH! The wastegate doesn’t exactly fit with the one piece, so I went and got my 2 piece pipe to install in it’s place. This will also save …

Had a freind drop off his 951 that was making some noise from the rear end. Quickly diagnosed the patient as….you guessed it, a bad CV joint. I quickly had horrible flashback’s of the 993 axles, but at least these wouldn’t be nearly as hard to get out….still messy, but not hard, lol. Driver’s side axle out. While the boots were in good shape on this axle, the grease had dried up over the years and caused the joint to …
