This last weekend we loaded up Car 54 and headed to the Chump car race at Eagles Canyon in Texas. A 12 hour race on Saturday, and a 6 hour race on Sunday. I think we are about wrapped up on the Chump car for it’s first race of the year. Lot more work than I thought I would have to put into it, but it all finally came together. Had the car up in the air for a day and had a little drip form under the car. Turns out the clutch slave cylinder was leaking. Really glad we caught this now! And new cylinder and line in place. Richard came by today to start the install of a roll cage for his future BMW chump car. With the benders, notchers, and welder out, the guys went right to work. Tomorrow I will be heading out to HPT for the Chump Car Race. We watched the 24 hour race at Newton, IA and it was a hoot, so this should be a blast as well.
