SPEC Miata Build Part 2:

Sunday Sunday Sunday…..where are we. Yup.

We made a little progress today:
Got the SPEC suspension swapped onto Miata 1 with the exception of the rear hub/carrier/axle which is needed new.

And we got Miata 2’s suspension back on and back to roller status, loaded up on the car dolly and gone.

The shop supervisor made sure everyone stayed on task.

But she forgot she was dealing with a bunch of jackasses.

So she just gave up and found a blanket and went to sleep.

Miata 1’s motor out of the car. Ok stay with me. Rebuild Miata 1’s motor…..but Miata 1’s motor has bent valves in the head? Ok, grab Miata 2’s motor…..also has bent valves in the head. Ok, back to rebuilding Miata 1’s motor since the cylinders are in good shape, and will rebuild the head.

And the bottom end opened up on Miata 1’s motor.

And we got the parts washer back up and running, so cleaning parts will be a little easier. At 7 we finally decided to shut it down for the weekend. Back at it again in the morning. In the meantime, I am going to have a Dilly Bar and retire to the basement where I will hone my sniping skills on the African Militia.
