Reviving the Dragon
It will be a slow process as time and discretionary spending isn’t really plentiful these days, but I need to get back to having a personal project again. Many have watched the Dragon transform over the years, and a couple years after shelling the motor at HPT, it got shoved aside and forgotten. After campaigning the M3 for a sessions, I started to realize that step down just wasn’t going to work. Something had to be done….but what. What could feast on Pumpkin Pie in a refined yet brutal manner? What could eat Bugtussle red berries without hesitation?
So the other day I picked up 5.3L of LSx goodness. The plan will be to run this all aluminum L33 v8 engine with an LS1 intake, cam, and associated parts. The conversion kit comes from Eric at Texas Performance Concepts. Likely the motor will get planted in the chassis quickly, and then I am sure the small stuff will take quite a while to button up We are going to take some weight out of this already 2700lb chassis. The interior and wiring is completely gone, and I will start from scratch in regards to that. Pure track evilness…..

You have turned to the darkside. Should be a fun project no doubt. Good luck.
