KCRPCA Ladies Autocross
Even with the ton of work we have going at the shop right now, I knew I had one obligation that I really needed to meet, and that was getting Val to her first autocross event. It was also a good opportunity to give #5 a shakedown run as it has been sitting for about a year. I believe this was the first ladies autocross event that the Kansas City Region PCA has held, and I would say it was a huge success. Everyone that came out (from beginner to experienced) seemed to have a blast! The girls loved tossing their cars around in a fun, safe environment. I think we had 8 or 9 cars that showed up! Not bad for a first event! The course was set up by our KC autocross expert Rudy Rodriguez.
Cars starting to show up at 9am. The Ameristar Casino was kind enough to let us use their large west parking lot.
After walking the track, they lined the cars up so they could drive the track to get use to it. Then the fun started. Runs consisted of 2 laps, with total times ranging from 1:10 to 1:30’s. Each session the lap times kept dropping 🙂

And in her battle gear ready to go.

And some track video 🙂 We got in quite a few runs before #5 decided it was done with a small fuel cutoff issue.
