GTR Modifications
One big problem with highly modified high hp GTR’s on the track are the oil/water cooling temps getting out of control. With the new motor in the car, some things were changed to help with the cooling, but the car was still getting hot. So we added a few more things hoping to get the temps down another 20 degrees or so.
First we added a carbon fiber hood which is not only lighter (this pig needs all the help it can get), but has some long vents built in to allow the hot air to come out of the engine bay, as well as pull air through the radiators more efficiently.
I didn’t take pictures while doing it because I was covered in oil, but a larger primary oil cooler was installed as well.
And then I had to reweld the broken exhaust tip back on which was an adventure in itself. Off to the track it goes!
