I feel like I have been hit by a truck this week. I have so much work stacked up with no end in sight, that every day has been a killer this week. Can’t complain about the work though, we are lucky to have so much support from our awesome customers……I just need to figure out how to clone myself. To get the clutch out with the one piece crossover pipe, the intake has to come off so you can …

It’s been awhile again, I made the huge mistake of allowing my lenovo auto update program to run, which in turn killed my internet connection system. After fighting it for a few days, I am now in the complete machine reload phase. Thus a lot of pictures of projects I had to blog about are going to bite it and I will start fresh with a better attitude. I have a history of putting my fist through computer screens when …

Last couple of weeks I have been knee deep in wiring. My cable sheathing finally came in and I was able to run the wiring from the oil pressure sender and temp sensor to the instrument cluster. Once that was done, I was able to turn it over and build oil pressure. After verifying no leaks, I finished more of the wiring and did a test fire. Vroom! Not bad considering the MAF/o2’s are not hooked up at all. Kind …

Last couple of weeks I have been slowly tinkering with building the wiring for the car from scratch. No original wiring left in the car, everything was removed, and I am wiring only the things I need/want. It is very time consuming, and reading wiring diagrams is repetitive, but also a lot of fun to be able to build from scratch! Figured out a mounting solution for the larger LSX computer in the stock location. Wish I had not have …

More tinkering. Finishing up the fuel system in the rear, but not much to show at this point. After talking with Todd, I’m not sure why it didn’t occur to me to remove the extra spacer from the weltmeister sway bars, so I knocked that out tonight. A trip to the hardware store for some shorter bolts (weltmeister…….uses standard hardware…go figure), and that was taking care of. I did add some longer allen bolts and spacers to keep the system …

Ok, I think I already have decided, but give me some feedback! #1. Same setup as the 935 Kremer. The difference, was no sunroof on the 935, so the line from the sunroof seal didn’t get in the way. I would cut a line in the vinyl so the sunroof could still be removed if needed. The downside is that there would be a black sunroof seal line running through white lettering. or #2 Swapping the 935 hood vinyl on …

Knocked out some fairly good progress on the Dragon this weekend. Parts ready to assembly. Custom building the fuel line from the supply line in the wheel well to the fuel rail. The old return line will be removed completely After mounting the Tilton dual master cylinders, I noticed the larger 13/16″ cylinder was mounted on the bottom. Since I need to connect two lines for the front brake calipers to this cylinder, I decided to swap them and but …

Had this nice little 924s in the shop this week for a timing belt job. Pretty straight forward job, but once I got the car in the air, it was apparent that we needed to replace the front engine seals as well. This car was bought new by the only owner from Art Bunker in 1987 🙂 A few pesky leaks. A And a few more with the timing and balance shaft belts off. Ugly. Yes that is RTV you …

70 degrees in KC! Woohooo! After getting back from a great weekend at Renntreffen with the KCWS, Sunday afternoon was spent in the garage 🙂 Got the coil packs mounted, though I still need to tweak the holes on the passenger side so it sits evenly. But I found out they will fit none the less. I will also have to tweak the firewall coil on the driver side to clear the master cylinder setup, but that shouldn’t be too …

Had a good weekend of tinkering over labor day. Was able to knock out some minor odds and ends in preparation for some bigger work. We hit the brake ducts with some overspray, so I pulled them and got them black again. Mounted all the brake calipers back on the car. I will need to fab up lines down to the front calipers. Val helped me mount the dual master cylinder setup for the brakes. One will run the front …
