997TT Throttle Body

Had this one come in to the shop this morning with an interesting running issue….in that, well, it didn’t want to run hardly at all! We initially thought over the phone it was bad plugs, but after I started it, I knew something else was up. Found and issue with the throttle body instead of plugs 🙂

She shouldn’t be jammed open like that 🙂 These electronic throttle bodies will crap out on occasion, but more often we just see them get a little dirty on the butterfly, cleaning them usually fixes it.

No fix to this one though, opening up the side case and found the broken teeth on the gears. A few pieces had lodged in the cogs, causing it to jam open. New throttle body and off she goes!
