911 Door Handle Repair

I have this 911SC in the shop right now for some other issues, but the door handle on the driver side was broken (lever snapped), so the owner wanted to be able to get in and out 🙂

Quite the predicament when wanting to get in the car 😉

Remove the inner door panel, and you can remove the door handle from the car. This is such a simple design honestly, I’m not sure why they couldn’t figure this out with the 944. If you have ever had to remove one of those door handles……ha!

Good news is you can just order a replacement lever versus having to replace the entire handle. Here is the new parts on the left, and what was left of the old parts on the right.

Pretty straight forward swap once it is on the bench. Reinstalled and we have a working door again.
