So a big issue with Miatas is the rear suspension. The throughbolt in the rear carrier is exposed and becomes siezed. Also the rear axle splines sieze into the hub. After destroying the axle, chopping the bolts into pieces, leaving it under 24,000lbs pressure overnight, and finally putting a cheater bar (allegedly) on the press, the carrier was finally free. This had to be done since the frozen lower carrier to control arm bolts would have caused some crazy handling …

Boxster S Work

This Boxster S showed up yesterday for a few needed repairs. A host of lights on the dash, including the check engine light, ABS light, and brake sensor light were all lit up like a Christmas tree. First thing to do was to go after the brake issue. The front passenger side harness connector was shattered where the ABS sensor and the brake wear sensor plug in. Recently I heard a rumor that a good friend of ours was too busy to fix his broken 951, so a group of buddies decided to pack up and show up on his door step to help him with his problem, lol.  The only issue, is he holds South Dakota residency 🙂  Friday night myself an a couple of buddies loaded up and took off on the 4 hour trip to SD.
