Porsche 996 Waterpump Leak

Had this little 996 in the other day to fix a big coolant leak 🙂  Turns out the waterpump let go and started leaking, which is pretty common with these cars.

Typical leak is to the right of the driver side exhaust tip.

And looks like this 🙂

While the engine doesn’t have to come out, you do have to loosen the one cat, support the engine, and remove the carrier from its mount.

Something like this. Which will allow my childish small hands to get in to all the bolts 🙂

And posting for future reference. A small RMS/IMS leak that we will monitor over the next oil change to see if it gets any worse. If it does, then we will be performing invasive surgery.
