Blog has been a little slow as things have been crazy to say the least. I have had the CT70 done with the exception of the clutch cable to arrive, but I got that in this week, on the bike, and she has her first 4 trouble free miles on her 🙂 I waited for quite awhile for the parts to arrive to rebuild the front forks. I needed the piston spacer sleeves on both sides which were on backorder. …

Man it has been a boring winter, but glad we are getting some performance work back in the shop and making cars faster! The 911SC project is up and running, but just didn’t sound very good, so we added a Fabspeed cat bypass and muffler to the car which greatly improved the sound! Old system off the car and ready for the scrap man. New exhaust installed Thumbs up approval!

When last I left you I had stripped the bike apart, and blasted the frame down to metal. The chrome was blasted and sent to the powdercoater, now it is reassembly time. First thing to do was to install the Lifan 125cc engine so I had a good base for the frame to sit and not tip over. Then get it up on a bench to work an ergonomic level 🙂 The new decals were installed and the main chassis …

It isn’t good to have a dirty mind. While we have been jamming out routine work over the last couple weeks, when oddball things come through the shop they are always fun. Had my buddy RT swing by with his H2 hummer to replace a leaking airbag on the rear axle. Over time, the bags will dry rot and start to leak, which will cause a corner to sag. The compressor will then run excessively to try and keep the …

Had this little Pepper limp into the shop yesterday with a bad primary fuel pump. The 955 has dual fuel pumps, one on each side of the tank. Often times the primary will die, causing stalling issues with the vehicle. Pumps are located under the seats and under the carpet. You actually have to cut a hole in the carpet to access the pumps, but Porsche was kind enough to draw an outline of where to cut 🙂 Following the …

Had this little 997TT in last week for a coolant leak. Wasn’t the cooling pipes as we have already done those, but rather we had a pin hole leak on the rubber hose running from the turbo coolant pump to the turbos. Was able to quickly reproduce the leak by pressurizing the system, unfortunately getting to it is a different story 🙂 Behind the oil filter housing, underneath the junction of the left intake and center plenum pipe is the …

Had some time over the last couple of days to start prepping and cleaning parts for paint and powdercoating. Front forks, rear swing arm, and chain guard ready for paint. The main frame cleaned up and ready. And a bunch of chrome pieces sanded and beadblasted, ready to go to powdercoating. Front shocks disassemble easily, so those were torn down before going to paint. Hopefully I will have the new headlight bucket by the end of the week and then …

At the beginning of the winter we picked up a couple of bikes for projects.  Wes with the Chinese clone of the Ural clone of the BMW, and he also found me a Honda Trail 70 for a sweet ass pit bike. It arrived not running and in pretty rough shape. We went through the stator, wiring harnesses, coil, etc before I finally decided to do something different. The more I looked at the bike, the rougher it looked, and …

Had the tow vehicle in the shop last week for it’s big service to get ready for the season. Wouldn’t want the guys towing the chump car to break down! Oil change, transmission flush, fuel filter, rear brake pads/rotors, cabin filters, air filters, etc. This was a big service to get everything ready for the year. Some things we do a little early as annual maintenance, and others were mileage due. The fuel filter was due to be changed which …

Had this nice little 650i come into the shop for a little maintenance and a big sound improvement 🙂 Some basic stuff such as brakes, fluid flush, oil changes etc were in order and taken care of quickly. Then it was on to the exhaust. Time to get rid of this neutered system! We chose to go with Magnaflow’s full system which provides a great sound on these 650i’s! The old exhaust out. Unless you are on jackstands and can …
