We shove a lot of Cayennes through the shop for maintenance, but I know there are a lot more out there that need our help! They are really good vehicles in general, a few issues like coolant pipes and drive shaft carrier bearings, but overall, they are really solid gas slurping pigs. This one came in for some light maintenance which we were able to take care of quickly. First thing to do was the replace the various lights that …

Had this little 996 in the other day to fix a big coolant leak 🙂  Turns out the waterpump let go and started leaking, which is pretty common with these cars. Typical leak is to the right of the driver side exhaust tip. And looks like this 🙂 While the engine doesn’t have to come out, you do have to loosen the one cat, support the engine, and remove the carrier from its mount. Something like this. Which will allow …

Huge thanks to Shoutcloud Studios for redesigning and implementing the new website!  There are a couple new additions including the NEW classifieds section where we will regularly list overstock/takeoff/used parts for sale.  While we are still doing some testing and making sure all the links and such work, as of the right now most of it is functional.  Hope you guys like the new look, we sure do! Note: And I have just noticed that comments are closed for some …

This is a cool car…one owner 2L in really nice driving shape.  Only trouble was she is bleeding to death.  Several small leaks and one biggie, the main. So out with the drivetrain and off with the flywheel. Look at all that oil slinging out. While we’re in there we’ll take care of this.  With the engine back in we see this.  Mechanics did this on these cars for years.  They add another solenoid instead of fixing the starting system.  We’ll …

Ok, maybe one more before they tell me to stop 🙂 Got the call today and picked up the Spec Boxster from the cage builder. Pretty stoked on how it turned out. Now to paint the cage and start knocking off a few final finishing items. With the cage in place, I had to do some notching to make the dash fit again which wasn’t a big deal. While the dash was back out (removed for cage install), I took …

Well…..this may be the last blog post for a week or so. Our web guys have been designing us a new site, and will start to make the transition hopefully next week 🙂 The new site will be similar, but with more features, one bringing the blog to the front page, and another adding a classified section where we can post not only new and used parts for sale, but maybe a Porsche or two as well. While at first …

The holidays have come and gone, a little time off, and we are back at it. We have been knocking out a lot of daily driver work the last couple of weeks as the weather has turned cold, and people have put away their Porsches for the winter. A lot of projects ongoing though, a couple of engine rebuilds, race car prep, SPEC boxster cage almost done, amongst endless other work. While we aren’t experts on everything non Porsche that …

Putting together a 620hp kit for this 997.2TT PDK car. I love modifying TT’s 🙂 This is the same car we did the Escort 9500ci install on. I love the color of this car 🙂 The DFI motors definitely have the old GT1 based TT motors beat for room to work on. You can actually see what you are doing. Fabspeed x-pipe, Fabspeed headers, billet diverter valves, Maxflo air intake, and custom Evolution Motorsports tuning. Air intakes in place, only …

I always am a little leery of posting about these models as I don’t want anyone to get the idea that I actually know a little bit about working on these things. The Porsche 928. Insert my favorite Porsche joke here of course: You know, 95% of all 928’s ever produced are still on the road today. The other 5% actually made it home. Har har. Another interesting tidbit. While working on/test driving Porsches over the years and the shop, …

One of my 700hp builds 🙂 Had this car come in for a bad oil leak. Started out of the blue and was a massive leak. When it came in, a quick peak underneath had me scared we lost the rear main seal, so I got it up on the lift and cleaned everything up so we could see where the oil is coming from. After getting the bottom of the car cleaned up, I could see the oil was …
