Definitive Solex carburetor repair..

The other day I call the big Porsche carb rebuilders and ask them for some split shaft Solex parts.  They said they will send me all they have because they won’t mess with ’em anymore.  They do a high dollar solid shaft conversion.  That was an eye-opener.  If these guys don’t want to mess with these then they must be problematic.

If a car is a concours queen I’d rebuild the Solex for you.  If your car is a driver we are sold on this solution:

Brand new European built Webers!  Better carbs, better looking engine bay, here in a couple days, and a pretty decent kit.  The carbs will be ready to roll with a synch, mix screw adjust, and idle set.

Nice!
On a slightly different note, have had a very bad experience with a plastic fuel filter in about that same location….

Wilen just corrected me, he says that was a totally different time they set your car on fire.

Not to worry, plenty of hits and near misses to pick from…
