SP3 (951) build continued
Finished up most of the suspension today, with just a few bits here and there to take care of. Rear sway bar off the car ready for replacement Setting up the rear drop links for the weltmeister adjustable sway bar. Oh yea! This project has been on hold for awhile as we were waiting for the shop that did the body work to come by and go over some unresolved issues on the car. After a month of no shows, we have just decided to repair the issues ourselves. 996 C4S Headlight Repair
Wes had this 996 come into the shop this weekend while we were at Daytona. The headlights weren’t working anymore, which is usually due to the headlight switch, which he was able to replace and fix the issue. Then it was time for an oil change today. I put the car up in the air and changed the oil, but I think we have a bigger issue brewing. Judging by reciepts, this car had a RMS/clutch replacement….but no IMS upgrade/seal …
We are currently tackling suspension on the Mustang. Once we sorted all the running issues we were able to drive it at speed. And then quickly back to the shop to replace the worn suspension. The car was all over the place on the road, so we knew all the bushings and shocks would need to be done. Old radius rod bushings. And new ones. 530i 60k Service
Had this 530i come in for it’s 60k service today. Being an 04, it was time to get the fluids flushed and the filters changed. Step 1: Drain the oil. Step 2: Make big oil mess. Step 3: Drain the coolant and get fresh coolant in. Lifetime coolant? LOL But, we do replace with the proper BMW blue coolant. Then it was time for filters. The air filter here. Infinity FX45
Daily driver business 🙂 This little FX45 came in for some needed maintenance to get it through the year. The brakes were pulsating, it was low on oil, and it needed a seat heater switch repair. 323i Throttle Body Completed
Finished up the 323i throttle body install the other day. Pretty straight forward going back together, except that we tossed the crappy old torn rubber intake boots in favor of new boots. New throttle body ready to go on. TB installed with new rubber intake boots. Since the car came in on a flat bed, I didn’t really know the condition of the car. Big Props to Dutch Boy Garage Door Co.
We ran into a little snag late Monday night when trying to close up for the night. As we were closing the big bay door, the right side cable snapped and jammed the door opener. After some antics, we were able to climb up and cut the left side cable which allowed us to get the door closed. Unfortunately, with a 600+lb door, the door opener needs the sprung cable tension to over come the weight and open. Some of …

964 Cab Continued
Slowly plodding along with our 964 project as we have time. We are waiting on one of the gauges to come back from NHS. The face was de-laminating over the warning lights, so we sent it out to be replaced. A little ridiculous that they wouldn’t sell us a new face, as the install is no different that replacing the odometer gears (different gauge). Oh well. So….we are putting on a cup bypass pipe, so I dropped the secondary muffler …
