Adios Project 944T

Our long 86 turbo project left for home today. The car has been done for some time now, but I wanted to put a few miles on it before sending it on it’s way to make sure things were holding up. After getting back from RA on Wednesday, I was able to get some seat time with it and give it the check ride. There are still a bunch of little items that need to be addressed with the car, but I want the car to get some road time before we start tinkering with those things and putting any more time and effort into it. If the engine does turn out to be an issue for us, we will look into tearing it down to the block and sending the block out to have the erosion areas repaired, then put it back together which should solve any possible future issues. Who knows, maybe we won’t ever have to go back in there. For now though, this car is back on the streets of KC. Look for it at upcoming Porsche events, it is a very fine example of an original car.

Sounds like someone I should have consulted some rime ago. I am a member of KCRPCA and a past president many moons ago. I have a 98 Boxster and share a 74 914 2.0 with my son. Just got the 914 running again but need a few tweaks. My cousin, Ron Evans putq me on to your expertise.
